For those with a linguistic curiosity, 'Lo Scoiattolo' is actually Italian for 'The Squirrel'. This luxury hotel located at one end of the pedestrianised town centre is one of the nicest hotels in Courmayeur - quite an accolade for a town which boasts a disproportionate number of nice hotels!

The hotel is about an equal distance from the main Courmayeur cable car and the Dolonne gondola, with both being around 10 minutes walk. The rooms are stylish and contemporary, fusing traditional alpine with modern comfort, combining to give a taste of luxury.

There is a small wellness centre and the restaurant offers sumptuous local cuisine.
